ADHD COACHING

From a coach with ADHD!

As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD in my thirties, I know what it’s like to have to grapple with that kind of diagnosis so late in life. I experienced all of the shame, anger, sorrow, and relief that can arise when you suddenly have a new understanding of how you exist in the world after years of feeling like something wasn’t quite right.

My coaching style is compassionate and non-judgmental, and I create a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable exploring their values and the changes they’d like to make. I am committed to helping others achieve lasting upgrades and create a life that is aligned with their deepest values and aspirations. My clients come away from our sessions with greater self-awareness, increased confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose that allows them to thrive in all areas of their lives.

Looking to shake off those limiting beliefs, tackle the roadblocks in your way, and create a life that actually feels right for you? Let’s team up! I’d love to support you in figuring out what you really want and how to make it happen. Click below to grab a time slot or reach out to learn more about how my ADHD coaching can help you thrive.

I was diagnosed with ADHD just months before my 40th birthday and felt adrift, unsure where to seek assistance. My world suddenly made sense; the traditional productivity methods hadn’t clicked, I felt burnout so deeply, and despite being lauded for creativity and insight, basic tasks remained elusive. Then, I discovered Marion, or perhaps she discovered me. Working with Marion ADHD Coaching has exceeded all expectations. She offers invaluable grounding, guidance, coaching, and a wealth of resources. Her support has been indispensable on this journey of understanding my ADHD. ☆☆☆☆☆

What is a coaching session like?

Coaching is a time when we sit down together and take a deeper look at something that's coming up for you. I support you in recognizing patterns, updating belief systems, and finding meaningful solutions for whatever you're struggling with at the moment.

Coaching sessions are typically 30-45 minutes long and cover the items below:

  • The client brings a topic they’d like to focus on or we can explore together to find what resonates.

  • We identify a desired outcome or measure of success for that topic and the session. If the client isn’t sure what the desired outcome is, that’s ok, we can explore that too.

  • We explore the topic through thoughtful questioning, somatic practices, and tuning into your sense of self.

  • Often, we come up with some sort of action or idea to try out to help move you forward with whatever is challenging you at the moment

  • We reflect on takeaways, realizations, action items, etc.

  • We set up accountability for the time in between sessions and commit to that.

What types of things can I talk about in coaching?

We can talk about whatever is on your mind at the moment, but here are some potential options:

  • Time management

  • Emotional regulation

  • Goals in your career, relationships, and other facets of your life.

  • Maintaining healthy relationships

  • Breaking destructive patterns

  • Setting boundaries

  • Managing stress

  • Healthy habits

  • Perfectionism

  • Deciding what's important and what to let go of

  • ADHD support and techniques

  • ...and more!

It's a safe space to discuss problems and goals or visions you have for yourself with the accountability and structure you need to make what you desire become a reality.

My intention is to hold space for you to connect to what matters to you and make choices aligned with your values and vision for the future.

Is there homework?

There can be, but it depends on what you need. We will always try to come up with an action step for you to take that will help you improve in the area you chose to focus on during that day's session. Trying things out in between sessions is a crucial part of the growth process while you're in coaching, but you’ll make the choice about what it is and how you approach it.

How is coaching different than therapy?

Coaching tends to be more present and future focused. We ask questions like, "What do you want?" and "How can you create that for yourself?"

Therapy often focuses on the past to figure out how you came to where you are right now. Therapists generally ask more "Why?" questions and help you to understand how  your past experiences have shaped your present.

My Training

I believe that as we become more embodied, justice and collective liberation become more possible. As a white, queer femme coach with able-bodied privilege, I integrate an understanding of systemic oppression into the work, knowing that many different challenges we face are rooted in these systems.
